What is Applied Colour Science?

Applied Colour Science is our approach to using colour as a practical tool for human wellbeing — grounded in neuroscience and powered by data, not 'colour psychology'. We treating colour as a variable that can be understood, measured, and designed for, in the same way light, sound, or temperature shape how a space feels and functions.

It's the discipline of designing colour with intention, based on how it actually affects mood, focus, and physiology. By connecting colour choices to human response, Applied Colour Science turns something that's traditionally been subjective into something that can be applied deliberately — helping every wall, room, or space work harder, and feel better, for all of us.

Why Applied Colour Science matters.

We spend nearly all our lives indoors, yet the spaces around us are designed almost entirely without physiological evidence. Colour is one of the most powerful, most underused tools we have for supporting human health — and we believe it's time the built environment caught up with the science.

#differentfeelsgood.

Our belief is that small everyday actions by individuals can drive big, purposeful change — and we can achieve this through design, the impact of colour, and collaboration.
